The LSI Logic LSIU160 Single Channel Ultra160 SCSI host adapter is

our “all purpose server” SCSI adapter. Ideal for any application needing

high I/O performance, data integrity and scalability with a low implementation

risk. The adapter features Ultra160 SCSI performance both internally when

connecting high performance hard disk drives and externally for connecting

to drives enclosures and peripherals. The LSIU160 is fully backward

compatibility with older SCSI devices protecting legacy device investments.

The LSIU160 adapter provides the advanced features necessary to ensure

reliable Ultra160 system operation and is in position to meet the data transfer

requirements of emerging system technologies. It includes LSI Logic SureLINK

domain validation technology, an innovation available exclusively from

LSI Logic that ensures data integrity by intelligently testing the SCSI bus before

completing negotiation.

3) Press F6 key when the screen displays “Setup is inspecting your computer’s hardware configuration”

4) Choose “S” to specify an additional device when the screen displays “Setup has recognized

the following mass storage devices in your computer ...”

a) Install the driver disk made in step 1 in the floppy drive and follow instructions

5) Continue with the Windows install
