The Challenge

M12 type contacts, copper alloy material
and plastic inserts
To provide system connections for data
transmission in railway applications which group
multiple cables of Ethernet / MVB lines into the
same connector.

Cables tested and qualified at frequency of
1MHz, 10MHz, 100MHz

According to VG95234 where applicable
Aluminum allow shells with black epoxy
urethanic varnish (RoHS compliant)
Inserts are Plastic material, UL94-VO and
meets NF F 16-101/16-102 standards
Meets IP67 in a mated condition with the
appropriate accessories

New VEAM M12 contacts within insert of FRCIR
connector, for inter-vehicle application.
Operating Temperature of -40° C to 125° C
The ITT Solution …
Benefit to the Customer
ITT ICS answered the challenge with new M12
contacts mounted into a CIR connector series
hardware. The four conductor wires and braid of
shielded cables are integrated into the M12 contact.
The special plastic insert and connector accessories
can regroup multiple M12 contacts and cables in the
same connector.
