BP5064
The BP5064 is an AC / DC converter without using a transformer which can be used to supply +12V, 200mA DC output
from a commercial power supply (100V AC). It is allowed to control the switching on and off of the output voltage, and
therefore the power consumption can be made approximately 0W during the output : OFF.
!Applications
Power supply circuits for vacuum cleaners, washing machines, refrigerators, electric carpets, electric rice cookers and
crock pots, irons, cordless telephones, air purifiers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, illumination devices and other small
household appliances, as well as power supply circuits for gas, fire and smoke alarms, DC motors, sensors, and other
similar devices.
!Features
1) Elimination of a transformer enables compact, lightweight power supply boards.
2) Wide input voltage range. (80 to 120V for AC voltage conversion)
3) DC circuits can be easily configured, with few attachments.
4) Large DC output : 200mA.
5) Built-in ON / OFF switch.
Power consumption : 0W. (When OFF)
6) Because no transformer is used, the power supply board is less vulnerable to splitting or cracking from impact or
shock.
7) Allow easy assemblage of components.

Output control : Switching on and off of the output can be controlled by connecting the transistor, etc. to pin 2 as shown in
Fig.1. As a logic, voltage can be outputted if pin 2 is made to be less than 0.6V, and the voltage can not be outputted if
the pin is made to be more than 2V. Further, the voltage when pin 2 is opened, the voltage will be approximately 2.2V.

!Operation notes
(1) The output current needs to be reduced as the ambient temperature rises.
(2) Over current and shorted circuit
The over current limit is a drooping model of approximately 220mA. If there is any danger of the load being shorted or
over current being produced, always use a protective device such as a fuse.
(3) Insulation
This product is not insulated on the primary and secondary sides, and there is a danger of electrical shock if it is
touched.
(4) Avoid subjecting this product to strong impact.
(5) Lead pins should be securely soldered. If pins are not securely connected, irregular voltages could be produced,
causing breakdowns and damage.
(6) Connections with other devices
Devices using this product should not be connected to other devices. If connected, insulation should be provided.
